Mission

To encourage and equip people with the character, skills and knowledge to start new enterprises that create wealth and new jobs for communities around the world.

Core Curriculum-Each class is 15 hours long-90 hours’ total-Curriculum available but needs to be contextualized to host culture. Three separate trips and two classes each trip.

  • Session #1-Discover Your Design-All day Monday & Tuesday, 1/2 day on Wednesday
  • Session #2-Thinking Like an Entrepreneur-1/2 day on Wednesday, all day Thursday & Friday
  • Session #3-Starting & Sustaining a Business-same as Session #1
  • Session #4-Doing Business in the Host Country-Same as Session #2
  • Session #5-Social Entrepreneurship & Servant Leadership-Same as Session #1
  • Session #6-Ethical Leadership & Character-Same as Session #2
  • Final event a half day conference on Entrepreneurship-students present plans for new business
  • Could be taught 3 consecutive weeks or other formats

Intended Outcomes

  • Students will complete and present an Executive Summary to start a business. Done in a team presentation at the end of the program
  • Students will demonstrate an ability to think like an entrepreneur
  • Students will develop core character qualities for entrepreneurship
  • Students will adopt a servant leadership approach to leading
  • Students will develop the skills to start a business

Grading-Decided by host country and university. Texts are available for all courses.

Costs-Instructors pay their own airfare and no honorariums. Host organization pays for hotel and food

Notes

  • Host organization may choose to use their own instructors. A one day training seminar is offered to train the teachers.
  • Material can be taught from a Christian World View perspective
